Locally led Technical Support for Safer child Protection in Humanitarian Action
As part of the Alliance for Child Protection in Humanitarian Action’s Technical Hub Pilot, the CADEF National Technical Hub is a locally led space for civil society organisations, frontline workers and child protection actors in Cameroon to access practical technical support, learning opportunities and approved resources.
Our mandate
The Hub strengthens the capacity of locally led organisations and frontline practitioners to make safe, accountable and context-responsive child protection decisions. It does not provide individual case management or serve as an emergency reporting channel.
- Practical guidance on child protection in humanitarian action and the CPMS.
- Support to strengthen safeguarding, PSEA, safe referral and coordination practice.
- Review of non-sensitive tools, SOPs, training materials and guidance documents.
- Technical clinics, workshops, mentoring and peer-learning opportunities.
- Approved resources, technical troubleshooting and referral or signposting where appropriate.

What the Hub provides
The Hub can support you with:
- Practical technical advice on child protection in humanitarian action.
- Guidance on the Child Protection Minimum Standards (CPMS) and their practical application.
- Support to strengthen safeguarding, PSEA, referral and coordination practice.
- Learning clinics, workshops, approved tools and practical resources.
- Referral or signposting where a request is outside the Hub mandate.
Request technical support
Click the green button above to submit a non-sensitive technical support request. Please provide enough practical context for the Hub to understand the support needed, but do not include names, case narratives, children’s contact details, safeguarding allegations or other restricted information.
How the process works
- Submit a non-sensitive request through the secure form.
- The Hub reviews the request and confirms the most appropriate support route.
- A technical focal point provides support, requests clarification, arranges a clinic or refers/signposts where appropriate.
- The Hub records the outcome and uses non-sensitive aggregate learning to improve future support.
- Use the green button above to open the secure request form.
Upcoming Technical Clinics and Learning Opportunities
CADEF will host practical technical clinics, workshops and peer-learning sessions to strengthen safe, accountable and locally led child protection practice. Details, participation criteria, registration and approved resources will be posted here.

Safeguarding and urgent concerns
The Technical Hub is not an emergency reporting channel. If there is an immediate risk to a child or a safeguarding/PSEA concern, follow your organisation’s safeguarding procedure and the appropriate local referral pathway without delay.
