Personal Information may be transferred to service providers who will store or process this information on CADEF ’s behalf. Some of the data processors may be located outside Cameroon, in countries that may not have the same or substantially similar privacy laws as those set out in your jurisdiction, and accordingly, your Personal Information may not receive the same protections under the laws of such foreign jurisdictions, that it would in Cameroon.
CADEF works with iATS Payments (“iATS”) to process online donations to CADEF. All Personal Information, other than your credit card or other confidential information related to your method of payment, collected by iATS for the purposes of processing your donation will be transferred to CADEF in order to provide appropriate tax receipts, in accordance with applicable legislation. The Personal Information collected by iATS will be subject to iATS’ privacy policy, rather than CADEF’s Privacy Policy. CADEF is not responsible for iATS’ collection, use, and disclosure of your Personal Information. We encourage you to consult iATS’ privacy policy in order to better understand the risks associated with the use of these payment services.
Mergers:
In the event that CADEF is merged with another non-profit corporation or during the course of some other form of business combination, merger or joint venture, CADEF’s Personal Information may be subject to review for such purpose by another party, such as our advisers, any prospective third party’s advisers, and the third party. Should CADEF or such other third party wish to use any Personal Information for purposes not described herein, then consent for such use of the information will first be obtained.
