August–October 2026 · Limbe, South West Region

CADEF Cameroon supported Plan International Cameroon’s response to flooding and landslides in Limbe through community access, stakeholder engagement, mobilisation, household enumeration, beneficiary verification, and warehouse and distribution support.

Essential relief

The completed response distributed 250 relief kits: 55 WASH, 45 dignity and 150 education kits. The 27–29 August distribution reached 142 of 160 listed beneficiaries across seven locations.

Healthcare and household targeting

From 25–28 August 2026, Plan International Cameroon’s mobile-clinic team provided primary healthcare to 346 people in Bonjo and Dockyard, Down Beach, Seaport Health Area. The team screened 39 children under five for malnutrition, and 50 mosquito nets were distributed. CADEF supported community access and mobilisation.

During response targeting, 406 households were enumerated with CADEF supporting local engagement and enumeration alongside response partners.

Learning and accountability

The response highlighted the value of local coordination and community-led mobilisation. Lessons include communicating eligibility and kit contents early, clarifying collection arrangements, and reconciling stock and distribution records promptly.

Evidence: CADEF Limbe distribution records and the Limbe Mobile Clinic Health Intervention Report, with the final distribution update. Healthcare reach, children screened, households enumerated and kits distributed measure different activities and are not added together as unique beneficiaries. Children screened are included within healthcare reach.
