Model Classroom
The Model Classroom is an independent program supported in part by our Foundation since 1987. TMC has two main components:
- Outreach training for families, educators, and therapists, and
- Structured and supported social skills development group for adults with autism spectrum disorder.
The Model Classroom supports educators, therapists and families in selecting and implementing proven strategies to enhance educational access for students with ASD across education settings. The staff provides individualized support to families in crisis intervention. The Skills for Life Program is a weekly mentor group which brings individuals with an autism and typically developing peer mentors to participate in group activities and lessons.
