It is our pleasure to invite you to participate in The 2007 Magnolia Classic Golf Tournament being held at the Marietta Country Club in Kennesaw, GA on Monday, October 8, 2007. This year's event will involve a maximum of 25 teams of four players each, playing over 18 holes.
Raising funds for the Emory Autism Center
The Magnolia Classic utilizes a Ryder Cup-style format to raise money for CADEF and to promote goodwill and healthy competition. Since 1990, funds raised by this tournament have helped fund the Emory Autism Center, a division of the Emory University School of Medicine.
In addition to providing intensive diagnostic evaluations, the Center serves as a comprehensive resource to persons with autism, their families and the professionals involved in their lifelong care. The Center is staffed with some of the finest experts in the field of autism, and is available to all persons and families in Georgia as well as surrounding states.
International Appeal
Begun in 1984, by a group of golf club professionals and amateurs from the U.S. visiting Scotland and England, the tour grew in popularity because of the international fellowship and friendships that developed. We hope to continue the camaraderie among golfers here in Georgia, as they come out to golf for a worthy cause that directly helps their fellow Georgians who need autism resources.
Today, the impact of the Center's work is being felt not only throughout Georgia, but reaches into 34 states and 8 foreign countries as well.
Thanks
The Childhood Autism Foundation, Inc. would like to thank the Marietta Country Club for their generosity in hosting this event at their course this year.
